Volunteer Animals for Labs

The Chi Institute is committed to training veterinarians to give their patients the best possible care. One way we do this is through hands-on labs where students practice Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine on dogs. Promoting education for veterinarians and wellness for animals would not be possible without the help of our dedicated volunteers and their animals.

If your dog or horse would like to volunteer in our wet labs, please email Your dog or horse will receive a complimentary treatment and herbal supplement by a licensed veterinarian. Short-haired, well behaved dogs over 35 lbs are preferred for our acupuncture classes, smaller dogs may be more suited for other classes. Well behaved and clean horses are ideal. Owners must stay with their pets throughout the acupuncture sessions. Multiple classes take place throughout the year, usually Thursdays through Sundays.
